Excellent, the law and criminal justice system appears to be working as intended. Additionally, while the article indicated a manslaughter charge (and dismissal of the second degree murder charge), the defendant did not seem to be accused of violating any specific firearm statutes.

Since I doubt you posted this local news story from Clinton, MI to discuss general semantics, the vernacular choices concerning the loading or carrying of firearms, or the tactics of defense counsel in a criminal trial, all of which have nothing to do with the SOP of this forum, I'm curious as to the point of your post here, and welcome any relevant discussion.
