Homeowner Shoots Intruders In South Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A south Columbus home invasion ended in gunfire Monday morning.

Police said two people broke into a home around midnight on East Hanford Street near Parsons Avenue.

Officers said the homeowner opened fire at the alleged intruders. Both ran away despite being hit by bullets.

Officers said their getaway car stopped two blocks away, near East Gates Street and Parsons Avenue.

An ambulance picked up one shooting victim and the other walked to a hospital. Both are expected to survive.

It was not clear if the homeowner was hurt in the struggle.
