We wondered whether Clinton was correct that, every year, there’s a slow and steady decline in the proportion of households that own guns.

He isn't, and there's not. The only data supporting that assertion is telephone polling, none of which includes physical verification of the accuracy of responses. On controversial issues, such methodologies are essentially worthless.
