I needed an eye appointment at Wilmington VA. They set up an appointment for 8 months later. 2 months later it was cancelled. I needed to see the dentist. To have a crown, I had an appointment in 5 months. He put the temporary on and made me an appointment 6 months later for the permanent one. Teeth cleaning is backed up 7 months. My primary is ??? in Jacksonville. My primary left and I had a new doctor who left before I could see him and then I finally saw my new primary and 3 months later he is gone. I don't blame the VA, I blame Congress for not allocating enough money to take care of veterans. I was using Choice Plus and non-VA but I don't seem to be able to use them. Wilmington is 75 miles from where I live but that is not a bad ride if I could only get appointments. Thankfully my Psychiatrist and Psychiatric nurse are in Jacksonville at the clinic. I see one or the other at least once a month.
