I've been wanting to read more about why we are where we are. I grew up in rural Ohio on a farm and I remember the rural people being pretty split between Dems and Repubs. How in the world did it get so politically homogenous in rural areas? How does it happen that every single person thinks the same way? It's kind of blowing my mind. Especially having lived in California for 25 years. Call them loonies, but at least people have some original thought out there.
