4. Born in the 50's, my grandma never swore around the kids. I only heard my grandfather swear once.

He didn't know I was there. This was not that they didn't know how. It was a conscious choice. They chose not to swear around children. My grandmother did not discuss gays around us, though my uncle had a roommate for more than thirty years, and they visited the house for Sunday dinners a couple of times a month, Uncle Jim and Uncle John. They are buried side by side, now. It was a different time.

Cursing is accepted now. It's a cultural change. Fuck, let it rip.
