A Missouri woman applying for a job at a medical clinic was flatly denied from consideration for being “too ghetto.”

St. Louis resident Hermeisha Robinson sought employment at Mantality Health in Chesterfield, Mo., as a customer service representative, but was floored when the Aug. 13 email response stated the clinic does not consider applicants with urban-sounding names before cordially signing off, “We wish the best in your career search.”

The email went on to say, “Unfortunately we do not consider candidates that have suggestive 'ghetto' names.”

Mantality Health owner Kevin Meuret blamed the nasty response on a disgruntled employee who had hacked the system, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The company then launched a probe to track down the hacker.
