Your comments..are completely correct !….

“I don’t agree. I am also not an impartial person on this subject.“

AGREE It’s IS THE Church, and the CHURCH officials. Absolutely!
It’s a cop out when these Church leaders et al use that TOTAL BULLSHIT
weak excuse….that the times dictated how and what was acceptable.

That’s like stating….’Oh Slavery was just part of the times, people just behaved that way then.’…..’Oh during the Inquisition the Church just tortured and murdered 1,000s because that’s just how it was back then’

The Catholic Church is responsible for unbelievable horrors inflicted
on millions across the world.

The Catholic Church tortured people, burned to death people,
Stole lands and possessions from millions, abused cultures across the globe, tried to eradicate entire cultures and peoples from their own beliefs.

The Catholic Church’s murderous campaigns against Muslims,
Against the Jewish faith.

My spouse’s ancestors came from Spain to the New World, and we suspect
likely Jewish faith they tried to hide as many did then,,, BUT a few once in the New World,, In New Spain the Inquisition executed them in Mexico City for being Jews.

The Catholic Church has a horrendous history, and still it continues
it’s recent horrors

And no, I sure as Hell do not attend Mass or care to.
