One particular one allowed a husband to beat his wife, for just about any reason, so long as the stick was LESS than 18 inches! And there was no limit to the number of times.
When you only read one book (or choose to) you have no idea what else to believe.
Too much religion taken for truth and reality. Too much religioin usurped by zealots and greed.
But the main takeway is, don't think for yourself, we'll do it for you...just like the Republicans today.
Evangelicals and believers are just sheep being constantly sheared until they are no longer needed.
