But if one already accepts such a metaphysical concept as an enduring soul,
what's one more item of faith that it could reattach itself to the reconstructed
molecular clone of the original body ?

The next two questions are:

What does this unattached soul spirit do, or go to, when the new body is not immediately
recreated, and the instruction set remains help in the "pattern buffer?"

What occurs when to copies exist - as what happened with Riker ?
The "soul" duplicate itself, or only reattach to one ?
