and it was a very scary time. Two people in my city here were murdered by him (older couple).

I was also here for the Hillside Stranglers. I was in Jr. High at the time (they hadn't reverted to calling it "middle school" yet) and that was also a very scary time, especially after they killed 2 girls who had disappeared from the nearby mall. Equally shocking that all of their murder and torture took place less than I mile from where I lived.
