6. I had a skiing fall and had 2 tears in my MCL and tore my meniscus

I heard them pop as it happened. I was generally OK that day (I could walk but couldn't ski, so had to take a snow mobile down the hill), but holy hell did it hurt the next day. Fortunately, I didn't need surgery.
