"Everything is electronic and requires more repair" [View all]

Said the KIA mechanic.

I wrote here, below, how I could no
loner get Sirius which came with my 2014 KIA Soul and the conclusion was that I needed a new Audio Head. $1,000.

But, it affected other functions: on occasions not being able to change FM stations and taking longer for the first screen to "agree" to abide by the rules. Several days ago I get into my car in a parking lot, just turned it on and... putting it in Reverse did not give me the rear camera. As I was driving to another section of the mall, the screen came back.

These have been on and off. So today when I finally took it to the dealer and reported these he agreed that they are all connected with the above comment.

We have been keeping cars for 8, 10, 15 years and never had such problems.

On occasions I read in the car columns about people liking their old cars and the replies often are that these old high miles lack the new safety features..

Really all I want is a mode of transportation that takes me from point A to point B in a reliable and safe mode.
