We did, too. Bought all regular maint items well ahead of time, en masse & things that could be foreseen to need replacement.
No accounting for the horrid condition of the roads in this Memphis region, or the high amount of garbage that flies up and hits things, like condensers.
Even the higher universal ones are back ordered. 
If anyone has one in like-new condition, I am more than interested in talking to you. And I would prefer oversized universal fit to get better cooling.
