Do it yourself video additions for safety. [View all]

My nieghbours are a very nice Chinese couple. They have their first car now that he has his driver's license. Since he is a new driver he is on a probationary license for a year. He has added some video camera enhancements to the normal proximity sensors.
Two cameras are on his outside rear view mirrors paired with two small screens at the base of the A pillars. No blind spots. He has a center rearview mirror/monitor that is installed over the existing mirror. When the video is off/fails it is a mirror. It has a forward facing camera that records and in case of a crash stores the video where it doesn't get erased. It also has a plug for his rear camera. The cost for the mirror set up came in around 100 euros. Just amazing.
