5. This saddens me, even as a 60-year Dodgers fan

I remember three -club pennant races with the Giants and San Diego. I'd halve two radios going, one of which was locked on the Dodgers station (I fine-tuned it and then removed the knob) and the other going back and forth between the Giants' and Padres' stations. If two if the three were playing each other, that made it all the easier to follow.

It was the greatest time a fan can have, unless they're one of those cretins who wants to clinch by Sept. 1, 15 games in front.
