Wednesday

My last job in Colorado was as night auditor / security at an historic hotel in Estes Park that overlooked The Stanley. I had a young couple leave in the middle of the night, saying that there had been a ghost in their room looking for French fries. Didn't ask about a refund, just wanted out fast. When they asked about other accommodations, I helpfully suggested that "well, there is The Stanley..." They bolted.

I have many fond memories.
