10. How hypocritical that a nonprofit dedicated to "Acknowledging Christ in Technology and Society" is not publishing

what is actually said in this "off-the-record" lecture. That seems more like "keeping secret our views about Christ in Technology and Society" to me.

I'm amazed Thiel calls himself a Christian, though. While he does share the hypocrisy of many far right Christians, he's always come across as the quintessential "break things" tech bro, rather than someone claiming two to three thousand year old religious dogma is how he lives his life and wants everyone else to. It's not as if the far right like gay allies, either.

From what I know of Jonathan Swift and John Henry Newman, neither would touch Thiel and his attitude with a bargepole. It would have been good to know why he think's Carl Schmitt has something worth listening to, though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Schmitt#Nazi_Party_involvement
