There are some elements of Buddhism I practice, such as mediation and I generally find Buddhist views helpful in dealing with some personal problems and faults of mine such as anger and impatience, but I don't think you could call me a Buddhist, because I don't hold to all of the beliefs of mainstream Buddhism. I guess I'm still seeking, all I really know is I haven't found any answers in the traditional American religion of Christianity. As for practicing the occult, I'm mainly reading right now. As I may have mentioned, I have a friend who is Wiccan and has talked with me about the basics of paganism and the magic she does on occasion, though it seems different than the book I mentioned in the OP. I wouldn't actually try practicing the occult until I'm 100% sure, because it seems like something a person should not simply play around with. Sorry, if I sound like an idiot, I'm a slightly confused person when it comes to spiritual beliefs.
