The Shadow of merc rx is already happening, so be patient and hang in there. Everything can still work; it just takes longer.
Just had that happen to me with some travel plans. Snafus everywhere with the reservations, but it ended up better in the end with a cabin on the river to ourselves with a view of some great fireworks from the back porch.
