About how they cannot know, there are 2 points I’d like to make about that:

First, this is a problem when Fearless Leader asks you to live a lie. Of the many traits I hate about trump, this is one I really loathe because its source is that his fragile ego can’t handle the truth. He wants everyone else to buy into his distorted view of himself. The truth of the matter is that he had to sell out because he lost so much in his casino venture in AC.

He was bailed out by Russian gangster money. Now the tab has come due and he is in the position of betraying an entire nation over the fact that he really is just a rich kid who couldn’t match his father’s prowess in pulling money out of real estate. There was a reason old Fred stuck to nuts and bolts working class apartments in Queens.

The second point is that a few republicans do realize that he is a Russian asset. They have even listened to the concerns of their constituents, phoned the trump WH, and gotten a policy change. I learned this on a thread posted here that was just full of good info but that did not get a lot of attention.
