How is it that their mental problems, especially their obsession with guns and violence and mass shootings, went unnoticed, or at least ignored, by their family?

Also, isn't it curious that the shooter expressed anti-Semitic ideas, but the FBI is investigating the shooting as an anti-Catholic hate crime?
