protests around the country with harassment against Jewish students and facilities, and this wasn't because they were protesting Israel, but because they were Jewish.

This harassment occurred both online and offline in the form of verbal abuse and threats, along with vandalism, antisemitic graffiti, bomb threats, using the war in Gaza as justification to target Jews, repeating antisemitic tropes and conspiracy theories. Add to that some outlets from the left, not only pushed the denial or minimization of the murders, rapes, and torture which occurred on October 7, but even went as far to try and justify it.
