2. many many years ago I used to listen to WGN radio

mostly because they carried the Cubs. But I would often listen to other shows.

The morning man, Wally Phillips would occasionally have this atheist on when there were questions @ church state relations. Phillips was a religious man, but he would let the atheist have his say. I am pretty sure that was Rob Sherman - that name sounds vaguely familiar.

Sort of half listening one day (and having been in catholic schools all my life) Sherman said something that really started me thinking. He told Phillips to never forget "that god was made in man's image and likeness."

That turn on the old catechism started me down the road to skepticism and eventually to the atheism I profess today.

So a very belated thank you Rob Sherman. Wish I could have thanked you in person.
