More Than 100 Children Baptized At NC School Without Parents' Permission: Report [View all]

New York (Knewz) — More than 100 children were baptized in North Carolina without their parents’ permission, and now the school that performed the practice is apologizing, according to the report.

Northwood Temple Academy, a private school in the Fayetteville, North Carolina, area posted on its Facebook page last week:

“I feel it in my bones, You’re about to move! Today we had over 100 middle and high school students spontaneously declare their faith and get baptized today. We will have more pictures of these powerful moments posted over the next couple of days!”

According to a report from the Fayetteville Observer, three students had their baptisms scheduled as part of a Spiritual Emphasis Week. The offer of baptism was then given to other students, with more than 100 choosing to participate.
