3. I probably should have clarified for those of us at midlife

But does one ever recover? I think I'm just going to have to muddle through for the rest of my life.
Yes, I have some fun, but he's still missing.

My neighbor gave himself a job to do every day. He was in his 90s.
His wife had some kind of mild dementia, just enough where he had to take care of her but that they didn't need help.
Once his daughter moved him out of the house with nothing to do, he died.

It just sucks all around losing people. All we can do is our best with what works for us.
