I could use a break. Closest friends are 50 miles away. Daughter is over 150 miles away.

Sure, I'm the most intelligent audience I could have (that's a joke).

Anyway, I converse with neat people here. Keeping some beers chilled for a potential break in the solitude, not including propane tank drivers and the CalFire "ready for wildfire" inspection team (due to revisit any day now)

Thoreau wrote a chapter entitled "Solitude". I am OK with most of the loner stuff, but not to extremes. Solitude is best for piano practice. It is a bit annoying to hear until pieces are mastered. I got an electronic piano when I was married, and my wife was working odd shifts as a nurse. Played through headphones.

I recently told her that and she was unaware of the setup. Proof that it worked!

Enjoy a healthy amount of solitude. Beer's chilled for breaks in it.
