It is (and has been for decades) the worst slur for women in the US and a lot of us here had to fight back against that word being thrown at us (and used against us) by very misogynistic, hateful individuals- angry at women gaining strides in the workplace -- during at least certain times in our lives. Younger women may never have experienced that, but I damn well have. So have most of my women colleagues. IMO, if you would use that term then you would not think twice about using the "N" word toward African Americans or any number of slurs toward people of other races and ethnicities or those horrible terms toward members of the LGBTQ community. 'Asshole' is universal. These group member-associated terms are not.
