The resolutions are largely symbolic — a way for communities where guns are cherished and where hunting is a way of life to make the point that they view most restrictions on guns to be unconstitutional.

I suspect they also view that obligation to serve in a well regulated militia or army or navy, to be unconstitutional as well (per scalia heller individual rkba not connected to militia service).

Right. Hasn't been a significant federal gun control law over a decade, and 2008 heller & 2011 mcdonald ruled for an individual rkba & incorporation thereof in cities, written by scalia, yet he also wrote that the 2nd amendment was 'not absolute', leaving the door WIDE OPEN for 2nd amendment rights to be 'slowly stripped away'.
