4. McDonald v. Chicago was the case which gave Them their victory.

That goddamn SCOTUS opinion in McDonald v. Chicago was as much of a setback to a modern, peaceable society as Plessy was to the cause of racial equality.

It took fifty years to get Plessy overturned.
