2. Looking at YouTube videos in Page Source, they look to be generic iframe HTML embeds.

That only has basic border framing, the answer seems to be no.

If there were a custom player, such as over at the Crooks&Liars site, there is code that can obtain that information.
Or custom script logic couple be inserted in an OP, that is more for the site operator adding videos to their site articles.


Right click the web page and View Source. Search for YouTube iframe and you'll see something like this:
