We ranged from 4 years old to 11. I was 5.

In her defense, she was a single mom raising 4 kids. She worked every waking hour of her day, two and three jobs as a waitress. (Tips were everything!) Guess she had things to do that day, so she thought a matinee would be a nice diversion for us. There were no MPA ratings at the time. She probably never looked at the marquee. It was a matinee. A time for kids.

I was fortunate. We didn't have a shower in the house, only a bath.
