DHS plays games to avoid legally permitted inspections of overloaded immigration detention centers - Jen Psaki - MSNBC [View all]



ICE detention centers were already operating beyond the capacity for which they'd been funded before Donald Trump's new deportation frenzy began, which means conditions in these centers are likely strained. Members of Congress are legally allowed to perform inspections of these facilities to check on those conditions. But now members of Congress are getting the runaround and not allowed the access to which they have a right. - Aired on 06/19/2025.
