11. When I was in the early grades, we used to say the "school prayer" every morning along with the Pledge

It wasn't very "religious," all I can remember was the end, "our parents, our teachers and our country." But when I was still in elementary school, something changed and instead we observed "a moment of silence" when we kids were told we could pray if we wished. Then suddenly that was eliminated, too, and nobody missed it. If this was too "religious" for public schools when I was a little kid, how are The 10 Commandments okay now??
