Even Blinken said, over a year ago, Hamas no longer posed a threat. Why this "war" was allowed to continue, I can't understand.

These security guys are worried about the risks to Israel's security, identity and "reputation" (too late there too). Wonder if they mentioned the impact on Palestinians at all?

Do they seriously think Trump is going to listen to them?

Netanyahu certainly didn't. He just declared he is going for "total conquest" of Gaza. That language is very, very scary. Amalek or Jericho...
