SNAP benefits are how corporations get away with paying starvation wages. Most of us here on DU already get that.

All rich men see is dollars being wasted that could be going to more tax cuts targeted toward rich men.

This is our basic problem in a nutshell. I hope hunger is biting recipients just hrd enough that they're starting to get it.

I don't want to see anyone go hungry, real hunger hurts. Maybe a little nip now and then when it's well known that Republicans are the ones playing games and delaying or cutting benefits will be just as much of a motivatorto get them out of our government.

In the meantime, the advice I'd give to people on SNAP is to stock up on beans and grains, it's what I always did when I started getting too sick to work. That way, I knew there would be something to keep my stomach from hurting and it would supply protein and energy so I could concentrate on getting better. SNAP recipients know they'll get at last some of their benefirst, they just know Republicans will continue to play games with them until the Republicans are gone.
