He has always claimed the 2020 election was rigged, his statement here is consistent with that. He appears to be saying that, as a result of that 2020 election being rigged against him, he was able to run again and become president again in 2024. This is why he now can be president during those events after all.
This is also consistent with his wording that "THEY" (not "WE"
rigged the election. It is his enemies who rig elections, not his friends.
