i think this statement, or something like it, is key to peeling off at least a decent chunk of republican party supporters.

i know we've called donnie himself a liar, but i think if this became a "viral meme", if we constantly used it, if we put it on billboards in red counties, etc., it would eventually work.

importantly, it drives a wedge between republican leaders and the ordinary voters who lean their way. it turns the resentment and indignation republicans have long exploited to our advantage. it allows them to abandon donnie in a face-saving way -- they don't have to admit that *they* were wrong, they don't have to change their opinion on any fact or issue, they don't have to agree with democrats on anything in particular -- they just have to be angry that donnie and republican leaders lied to them.


about anything. the budget, the tax "cut", the price of eggs, whatever. how does openly soliciting personal bribes make america great?
