when under the spell of a cult, humans lose their ability to fear the dangers awaiting them if they fail to loose themselves from its grasp. it has been so throughout history and this failure always results in disaster. it is somewhat like the opening of the ark in the first raiders’ movie. whether the cult is a high school clique, a joe mccarthyesque politician, or any of the religions that poison our existence, the members of these groups are blinded to peril based on hate. these magas do not care about the dire consequences of their support of the false idol for they believe a better future will result from their present suffering.
