Cambridge states …..An entitlement is something that you have a right to do or have

“The feeling that you have the right to do or have what you want without having to work for it or deserve it, just because of who you are entitled.”

Social Security is not a right, it is a program paid into by its recipients. Someone not working, who does not pay into social security does not have the right to it, unless their spouse earned it and passes away.

Take your republican narrative out of the conversation. Everyone who pays and collects SS knows we earned it and are “entitled “ to it, but as a government entitlement, and that is the way Society Security is looked at, needs to stop saying entitlement and call it an Earned Right.
