(121 posts)--his previous term, his behavior for 4 years between, and Project 2025 were red flags. Anyone who uses the excuse of "I didn't vote for this" is refusing to accept responsibility for bringing this darkness upon us. To say "I voted for him out of ignorance, and I'm sorry" is way more honest. That person can see the light and change for the better.
"Nobody that voted for him is a good person." I agree. Others may say it depends what your definition of "good" is. Others may be more willing to accept the two-sides to one person argument. Example: He helps all his neighbors even though he supports the 2025 agenda. Others may say "we're not all perfect either." (Right, but some of us try a whole lot harder not to deliberately hurt others).
For me, this is a line in the sand. If you voted for him THIS time, you are either too stupid or you are smart but sinfully corrupt, and therefore complicit in these crimes against humanity. Vote MAGA, you are Maga. After this election, there are really no moderate "good" Republicans. Sorry if this offends. I have Trump voters in my family, too, thankfully not in my nuclear family. I can pity them, but I have little respect now. That will never change. I consider them dangerously ignorant, consumed by fear, concerned mainly with money and status, with a constant need to feel superior at somebody else's expense. These aren't admirable or "good" qualities to me. These relatives go to church too, even more hypocritical, while they worship false gods. They lack perception of what is truly important in this difficult thing we call life.
To those Magas who see their mistake but wish to be excused...I say
Own it, ya ___ing idiots! Atone. Repent. Ask for forgiveness. Don't just whine that you were lied to. Of course you were lied to--that's all they do. And that was crystal clear before the election.
