The majority of South Africans grumbled, but accepted that racist (and classiest) autocracy had been holding their country corrupt and in poverty; and punishing otherwise neutral people for circumstances of their birth in that society wouldn't keep the country moving forward.
They punished the worst offenders, attempted to recover some of what was lost to the corruption, and have been trying to move forward, opening up opportunities that weren't available before.
But Mob Bosses, like Plantation Owners, always think they are owed everything they stole from their prey or captive workforce.
