Abuse of immigrants is forbidden in scripture. The only possible reference to abortion in scripture is the trial by bitter waters in Numbers 5:11–31 in which the priests were directed to give a divinely created abortofacient to a woman accused of adultery.

Abortion was decreed to be a mortal sin without biblical support while abuse of immigrants is specifically forbidden in scripture. I think you're saying that abortion is a mortal sin but abuse of immigrants is consistent with being a Catholic. God's law cannot be illogical.
