... it didn't imply he was bad in any other way. I'm not so sure of that anymore. Seems to me like the gentlemen (and ladies!) involved in the running of our government are full-spectrum no-goodniks, with a cascading and reinforcing set of nasty behavior that make sharks look like compassionate nuns.
It's kind of appalling. Wasn't the idea of a civilized society to reduce the amount of bad behavior among the people? Seems like that should be a minimum objective, or why are we bothering?
