In reply to the discussion: I Told You Putin Was Behind Epstein Gate [View all]AntiFascist
(13,578 posts)27. Epstein was technically a "money manager"...
JP Morgan Chase settled a lawsuit brought by the USVI for $75 million for failing to report human trafficking through Epstein's account.
USVI said JP Morgan kept Epstein as a valued client even after his 2006 arrest on prostitution charges and related guilty plea two years later, and said some bank officials stayed in touch with him long after he was dismissed.
Both lawsuits exposed deficiencies in JP Morgans oversight of clients, including many communications where employees urged the bank to stop doing business with Epstein.
...
JP Morgan had argued that the USVI was also to blame for enabling Epsteins sex trafficking by giving him tax incentives and waiving monitoring requirements, in exchange for cash and gifts to local officials, including a former first lady.
Epstein had owned two private islands within the territory, including one he allegedly bought to keep onlookers from spying on his misconduct on the other.

Epstein was a Deutsche Bank client from August 2013 to December 2018, when the relationship ended after further negative press surfaced about his misconduct.
The transactions processed by the German bank included payments to alleged accomplices, lawyers, victims, Russian models and women with Eastern European surnames, and "suspicious" cash withdrawals averaging $200,000 a year.
...
New York said Epstein had more than 40 Deutsche Bank accounts, some of which were for the "Butterfly Trust", whose beneficiaries included co-conspirators in alleged sexual abuse.
This created a risk that payments could be used to "further or coverup criminal activity and perhaps even to endanger more young women," the New York settlement, which reflected Deutsche Bank's cooperation over several years, revealed.

Who were these co-conspirators?

Can anyone, not just the thread starter, explain "Krasnov is backing away from sending more weapons to Ukraine"?
