But if I normalize the data so it's actually comparable, gee! I'm safer in downtown Manhattan than BF Egypt Alabama. Really, it's a very complex issue you're oversimplifying with your "neighbors with gun safes choke full of gunzzzz!"
An interesting article that might shed some light. Death rates per 100K. Probabilities of being killed by firearms. The impact of cultural differences. Socio-economics. Interesting stuff.
