33. I loved history, too...

but it wasn't until later in life (after college) that my interest really took off. I think I know the reason (at least for me)... schools made the subject so freaking dry. It was all memorizing names and dates. We didn't really delve into politics, government, society in general, customs, etc. IOW, everything that makes history "history" was left out. When you just rely on learning dates and names, it's a pretty awful subject.
