Yes, there are moral religious people, but there are also a whole lot of people who use religion as an excuse to do terrible things because they are "forgiven" for everything they have ever done or will do.

So, they can claim morality while doing Epstein/Trump style things. Look at the Evangelicals who swear that Trump is a "godly man".
