That said, they described one of the bullets as carrying the message, "Hey, fascist! Catch!" Given the verbiage there, plus a family friend reportedly saying that Robinson "didn't like Kirk's ideology" and had "become more political in recent years", it seems reasonable to infer that Robinson's political leanings are to the left of the spectrum these days, whatever his family's political leanings might be.

I know everyone wants to believe that this was internecine violence on the right, but I don't think that's going to end up being the case. And if he was indeed somewhere on the left of the political spectrum, I suspect things are going to get even uglier now.

It's deeply unfortunate in many ways. Charlie Kirk didn't deserve to be murdered because of his political beliefs/ideology. That we've reached a point where people are okay with such things, even openly celebrating them (no one on DU, to be clear, not that I've seen) is truly, truly sad and reprehensible.

It speaks of very dark times ahead for America. I'm very, very glad I no longer live there.
