It's a stratagem in a single game that I've never seen referenced anywhere else in gaming media. I've played Helldivers 2 for about ten hours or so and never saw that stratagem nor did I hear any other player refer to it.

And while I haven't heard another Democrat say "Hey, fascist! Catch!" before, I most certainly have heard and read other Democrats describing pretty much anyone and everyone on the right as a fascist, so there's that.

I think it's probable that Robinson played Helldivers 2 and lifted the name of that stratagem because it aligned with his views on Kirk, particularly given his family member commenting that he didn't like Kirk's ideology.

It's also possible that Robinson has no real political ideology to speak of, though given his choice of target that seems unlikely to me.

You're free to disagree if you wish, of course. Preferably without slipping in veiled aspersions, if it can be managed.
